Bolton-based Darts Corner secures £7 million investment from Key Capital Partners

Key Capital Partners (KCP) has invested a significant minority stake (£7 million) in Darts Corner, an online darts and darts accessories retailer based in Bolton.

Established in 2007, Darts Corner employs 50 members of staff and sells a broad range of products, including leading brands and its own brand (Mission), into international markets.

Founder of Darts Corner, Wayne Taylor, will remain in his role as Chief Executive, and said that he is “delighted to welcome KCP into [the] business”.

Managing Partner at KCP, James Hall, led the investment together with Matt Tice. Both individuals will join the board. James said that Darts Corner “has invested heavily [for a couple of years] in new products, new premises and is close to launching a new vastly improved website and stock management system. [KCP is] investing in the business at an exciting time with a number of significant opportunities ahead of us and [is] looking forward to supporting the team over the next few years”.

As an active private equity house, Key Capital makes equity investments of £3 million to £15 million. KCP possesses a strong reputation for deliverability and realising excellent returns for investors.
