Bibby Distribution, which supplies logistics and supply chain services, has been acquired by PE-backed Menzies Distribution for an undisclosed sum.
Liverpool-based Bibby Distribution is one of the largest logistics platforms in the UK, operating a fleet of more than 1,800 vehicles and trailers from 38 sites. The business turns over c. £150 million and specialises in paper, packaging and consumer products. Customers include grocery retailers.
Menzies Distribution is a London-based, portfolio company of Endless. The acquisition will enable Menzies’ to expand its geographical reach and its customer base, including its range of B2B retail logistics services.
Chief Executive of Menzies Distribution, Greg Michael, said that “We are delighted to acquire Bibby Distribution. We believe that through combining the complementary business with Menzies, there are significant opportunities to grow both businesses […].
