Rowan teamed up with footballing Legend Paul Scholes to host an exclusive event at Mahdlo YouthZone last weekend. With a great turnout of youngsters wanting to learn from the icon himself in a private masterclass, the event was a great opportunity to introduce our customers to our sponsored charity ‘Onside’ and provide direct fundraising for the Mahdlo youthzone. The morning started with a delicious breakfast for all the guests followed by a Q&A with Paul where he fielded many questions from the young audience. The children then enjoyed coaching sessions and matches with Paul Schole’s supported by Mahdlo’s own Frankie, an experience they will never forget. Rowan Director Paul Waite was once again delighted to host the event, ‘local businesses need to play their part in supporting the Youth Zone, without these types of events and their support Claire and the team at Mahdlo simply couldn’t raise the £2m needed each year to run the centre and change the lives of so many young people from Oldham’. Having become an annual event in the Rowan calendar we look forward to welcoming more guests and budding footballers to next years event!
