Do you think mergers are the most efficient way for businesses to expand their service offering?

Step5, a digital transformation consultancy based in Manchester, has merged with TXM Group. TXM is a £220 million turnover, group of companies that provide contract, interim and permanent recruitment solutions, and training and project support.

Over the last five years, Step5 has grown rapidly and secured clients such as GB Group and BAE. Demand has increased as businesses look to explore, manage and implement new digitally-enabled solutions. As a result, Step5 has created a single point solution for the large scale digital projects of central governments and multinational business across the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East and Australia.

The Step5 brand will be maintained within the TXM Group. Clive Fenton, Founder and Chairman of Step5, said that “Step5 is the trusted partner to central government with clients from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to the NHS, managing and advising on major IT transformation programmes for organisations including Sopra Steria and Clinigen and consultant to the boards of FTSE100 businesses.”

The merger will align Step5 and TXM Group’s complimentary services and deliver additional benefits to clients. The partnership will enable the Group to “offer a resource unmatched in today’s marketplace.”
