Shopping Shake-up! Commerce marketing firm SMG bought in £15.7m deal

Shopping Shake-up!

Commerce marketing firm SMG bought in £15.7m deal.

The North-West operator – which specialises in connecting retailers with shoppers instore and online, along with its subsidiaries; Lobster Agency, Threefold and Capture Marketing – has been bought by Next 15 Communications Group.

Founded in 2008, the business specialises in data-led commerce marketing activation, and is led by CEO Samuel Knights.

It’s a great story, but…

???? Does the success of SMG and its subsidiaries indicate an uptick in Consumer confidence post-pandemic, given that the business operates through both on and offline channels?

???? If so, what does an uptick in Consumer sentiment mean for your business?

❔ Is it ‘full steam ahead’ for your growth plans, now that the world is starting to open up again and consumers are spending more, or is your business remaining cautious?
