We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Iain Duncan as Banking Consultant to Rowan Executive Search.
Iain was a Senior Manager with global bank HSBC v for over 36 years, primarily in the North West of England, and is qualified to degree level as an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB). Iain’s career has included a number of years as a Business Relationship Manager, as well as running successful team of lending bankers, and most recently was part of a Leadership team supporting 18 Corporate Relationship Managers, working with owner-managed businesses with significant, complex funding requirements.
Iain has an extensive and successful track record within the finance sector. He has worked with North-West SME owners and key controllers, providing a range of different types of funding to support growth, acquisitions, MBOs and exits. Customers that Iain has worked with have been across truly diverse industry sectors, albeit more weighted to internationally trading wholesale businesses. There are a number of examples of local businesses where Iain has put in place multi-million pound structured working capital facilities via debtor funding and import loan facilities, which has supported their growth and success.
Iain brings this practical experience, banking insight and the business contacts he’s made over the years to Rowan in an advisory capacity, and will work closely with Rowan’s clients in all departments, namely, business owners and their professional advisers.
Whilst Iain has lived and worked around the North West for over 20 years now, he is a proud native of Newcastle, and a long-suffering fan of its football team.
