Today is International Women’s Day, and we asked our own Molly Chalfont Pollard to contribute some thoughts on how Rowan attempts to #Breakthebias.
Molly is passionate about intersectional feminism and is also a contributing writer for Our Words, the book club and magazine of Our Streets Now, a campaign demanding the right of women, girls, and marginalised genders to be safe in public space.
“Today is International Women’s Day, and here at Rowan we wanted to celebrate the ways we #Breakthebias. There are 18 women in our team, making up almost two-thirds of the company. Our mantra is ‘People-Powered Growth’ and that is how we see all of our Rowanites; as people – gender is never seen as a hindrance or a barrier – we embrace diversity!
