DA Techs is on the road to expansion thanks to funding specialist

DA Techs is a Lancashire-based company, which harnesses leading-edge technology to offer diamond-cut and painted alloy wheel refurbishment. Recently, the business has received funding, allowing the business to relocate to a larger site in Adlington and develop a portable lathe to deliver on the spot services. Additionally, DA Techs has designed a custom-built wheel pod which encompasses the necessary tools (lathe, spray facility, wheel balancer and tyre changer) to repair a wheel. The business plans to lease these pods to clients, such as car auctioneers and franchise dealers.

The business has gained support from Access to Finance Lancashire (A2F Lancashire) which is funded by Lancashire County Council and the European Regional Development Fund. This backing has enabled Founders, Jamie Baxter and Phil Barnard, to secure further investment and access a grant from Made Smarter’s Rosebud Fund enabling DA Techs to digitise operations and finance.

It is anticipated that revenues of DA Techs will increase by 30% in the next financial year. Phil Barnard said “So far we’ve invested £100,000 since we reopened in June [after the first Lockdown]. This meant we were able to acquire new equipment including a van and [invest] in the ongoing development of the business which has ultimately helped to speed up our operations.”
